Printable traditional Coir mats are made to measure using techniques that have been used for over 100 years. All mats are hand made, and lovingly tied at the edges, giving a mat that not only looks very traditional, but is also very hard wearing. Choose to add a picture, a message or to leave plain. Printable traditional Made to Measure Coir Matting is ideally suited to areas that may be prone to a little more moisture than usual. As the mat comes without a PVC or rubber backing, moisture passes straight through, allowing the coir to breathe. The mat dries quicker, and it lasts longer. However, if the mat is to be printed we recommend that it should be used indoors only as weathering will cause the printing to wear off too quickly if the mat is used outside.
Traditional Made to Measure Coir Mats are made by our craftsman using the same tools and techniques as 100 years ago. The coir is cut to size and the edging is hand bound, allowing for a classic and stylish appearance.
These mats are those which are supplied to National Trust properties in the UK.
Please note: your mat will be created in a landscape orientation unless you specify otherwise. Please tell us in the notes box at checkout if you would like your mat to be portrait orientation.
Design Area: A maximum of 1 letter for every 10cm of width, and 1 row of lettering for every 20cm of height. Pictures vary but they are approximately 30cm high.
