It has holes in the back that allow rain water to drain away keeping the mat dry and effective.

Ideal for use in mat wells, particularly those with complex or unusual shapes as it can be trimmed to an exact fit with a sharp knife.
If your mat well is deeper than 12mm simply put a piece of plywood in the bottom and sit your mat on top.
