Our 17mm coloured coir matting is available in Black, Red, Blue, Green, Grey and Dark Brown. We also have Natural coir matting in 17mm, 20mm, 24mm and 30mm thicknesses, and can personalise this with your own message.
We do not usually recommend PVC backed coir for outdoor use. In situations where it is likely to get very wet, the PVC backing prevents the water running away. Normal indoor use where the mat becomes wet from shoes and umbrellas etc is absolutely fine, and is what this matting is designed for, but we do not recommend it being left outside to the elements. This version of PVC backed matting is in dark brown, with the entire Coir Fibres in that colour.

What Sizes Are Dark Brown Coir Matting Available In?
Here at Make an Entrance, our dark brown coir matting is cut to size with a thickness of 17mm. This ensures that you can find a mat to fit the exact dimensions of your entryway for a perfect fit every time!
Is coir matting the same as coconut matting?
Yes. A coir mat is the same as a coconut mat. Coir is a material made from woven coconut husks, hence why there are alternative names. Why not find out more and take a look at our what is a coir doormat article.
Can you dye coir matting?
Yes, coir matting can be dyed to achieve a desired colour. However, due to the natural fibres of the coconut husks, it is not guaranteed that you'll get the same colour all over. That's why we offer a sample of our matting so you can see the product prior to purchase.
Can you jet wash a coir mat?
No. It is not recommended that you jet wash a coir mat. This is because it is a water-absorbent material that will become waterlogged and ineffective. Not only will this reduce the lifespan of your matting, but it will stop the mat from protecting your entrance area. Want more information on how to clean a coir doormat .
How long do coir mats last?
Coir mats can last for years when maintained properly. To remove dried dirt, simply grab a stiff brush and brush away. This will ensure the stain is not set into the mat and looks clean and tidy.
