the challenges the team was facing in terms of finding the right kind of doormat. There is no mat well (recess) in the historic quarry tiled floor and the clearance under the door is tiny. As a result, there was no way they could put any kind of doormat right next to the door. The shop has a compact layout with the desk to the right of the door. The majority of people stride straight ahead to the back of the shop, past the front counter. When we noticed this it gave us an idea.
