Hug Rug eco friendly barrier mats are genuinely made in the UK.

How are they made?
They are made in a family-run factory in Yorkshire, England. Over 7.5 million plastic bottles per year are recycled to make the extra tough membrane in the mat.
Over 5.9 million t-shirts per year are recycled to create the cotton tufting in the washable indoor mats.
In addition, more than 100 tonnes of industrial plastics are recycled every year to make the special non-slip backing in Hug Rug eco friendly barrier mats.
Where can they be used?
Hug Rug eco friendly barrier mats can be used all around the home. The range now includes mats specially designed for outdoor use in either highly durable polyethylene or traditional coir with an eco-friendly backing.
Indoor Hug Rugs can be used just inside the door, as hallway runners, kitchen mats, play mats and more. As a result, the uses are endless. The cotton tufted pile is beautifully soft and ultra-absorbent, they can absorb up to 3x their own weight in water.

When should I replace it?
Hug Rug mats are very high quality and should last a long time. For the best lifespan on the Eco Coir outdoor range keep it sheltered from the weather. The polyethylene outdoor mats will withstand even the wettest weather and can be simply hosed down to t keep them looking great.
Moreover, the indoor mats have a 5-year guarantee. Wash and dry according to the instructions and the mats will serve you well for years to come.
